PURPOSE: An open-loop signal processing system and method in a multi input and multi output mobile system is provided to improve the performance of a multi input and multi output mobile system by using the correlation between antennas as well as the independence, in consideration of practical characteristics of transmitting/receiving antennas. CONSTITUTION: A multi input and multi output mobile system adopting an open-loop signal processing system comprises M numbers of transmitting antennas(12) and N numbers of receiving antennas(16). Also the multi input and multi output mobile system comprises a beam former(22) in a transmitting block. In case that the transmitting block transmits a signal after carrying out beam formation for each symbol, a receiving block for signal processing is composed of a beam-formed transmit signal vector estimator(24) and a beam former(26). The beam-formed transmit signal vector estimator(24) estimates a signal vector created after the transmitting block carries out beam formation for each symbol through a zero-forcing method or an MMSE(Minimum-Mean-Square-Error) method. The beam former(26) multiplies the signal vector, passed through the beam-formed transmit signal vector estimator(24), by the conjugate values of weight vectors and detects each symbol.
