PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a split type fuel injection control device which accomplishes a precise fuel injection based on the target amount of injection by eliminating the influence of the foregoing injection upon the following injection and precluding previously various inconveniences when an error is caused in the amount of fuel injection. SOLUTION: Maps e and f are set on the basis of the changing characteristics of the rail pressure P<SB>cr</SB>generated by execution of a pilot injection and the interfering characteristics of the injecting wave forms in the pilot injection and the main injection generated by a motion delay of a fuel injection valve, and the main target injecting period T<SB>main</SB>is corrected with the first amount of correctionΔTQ<SB>ml</SB>and the correction factor K calculated from the maps e and f, and the influence of the pilot injection is set off.
