TOP COATING FOR AUTOMOBILE OUTER PANEL, COATING METHOD AND COATING FILM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a top coating for an automobile outer panel, having fouling resistance and an excellent acid rain resistance, and a coating method thereof.

SOLUTION: The top coating consists of a clear coating containing 1-20 pts.wt. of an acrylic resin (A) having at least one specific silicone-containing ester group and at least two epoxy groups in the molecule, 20-60 pts.wt. of an acrylic resin (B) having at least two epoxy groups in the molecule and 20-60 pts.wt. of an acid crosslinker (C) having at least tow chemically blocked carboxy groups in the molecule, and a base coating containing 15-55 pts.wt. of an acrylic resin (D) having at least two hydroxy groups in the molecule, 15-55 pts.wt. of an acrylic resin (E) having at least two hydroxy groups and at least two epoxy groups in the molecule and 30-40 pts.wt. of a melamine resin (F) having a functional group which reacts with a hydroxy group. The coating method of the top coating and the coating film therefrom are also provided.
