<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for adjusting the imaging position efficiently without requiring an expert adjuster. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus is set with values for specifying the imaging position on a sheet. A plurality of adjusting values for correcting the set values are prepared and a test chart is printed out while varying the imaging position individually for the plurality of adjusting values thus prepared. Consequently, a desired print can be selected from a plurality of prints thus obtained.
