<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording medium which is capable of recording and reproducing information in a high recording density mode by emitting a laser beam of a short wavelength of 380 to 500 nm, especially in the neighborhood of a wavelength of 405 nm with a high versatility and has superb recording characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: This optical information recording medium has a recording layer capable of recording information by emitting a laser beam with a wavelength of 380 to 500 nm, formed on a substrate.
