<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of not only preventing the adhesion of carrier at the rising/falling time but also reducing the adhesive amount of toner and securing the wide latitude of control. <P>SOLUTION: Developing bias is controlled based on output from an arithmetic operation means for processing output from a potential detection means for detecting the surface potential of a photoreceptor in an image forming stage, and at the rising time and at the falling time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
