<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce difference of print results due to difference of characteristics among printers in a printer system where a print job is distributed to a plurality of printers. <P>SOLUTION: Assuming three printers A, B and C having resolutions of 1200DP, 600DPI and 600DPI, respectively, are employed. At first, resolutions of all printers A, B and C are collected at step S11. At step S12, resolution of all printers is set to the lowest one of the resolutions thus collected. In the example, all printers are set to perform printing at 600DPI. At step S13, a document is divided at the break of page in accordance with the number of printers performing printing and printing is performed by transmitting data to each printer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
