PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the mounting and fixing end on the upstream side from a meter can be erroneously mounted on and fixed to, a holder on the downstream side from a release holder because a pipe connection release of this kind in conventional cases has a structure in which holders holding a water supply meter from both sides can be mounted on and fixed to, the mounting and fixing end on the upstream side from the meter end and to the mounting and fixing end on the downstream side; that the meter malfunctions when the pipe connection release is connected to a water supply pipe as it is; and that the pipe connection release is easy to reverse and turn, after it has been tightened and mounted due to its weight because the shape of the mounted and bonded meter is unbalanced. SOLUTION: A meter release is constituted in such a way that a block piece 5 used to block the mounting and bonding of the mounting and bonding end on the upstream side of the meter is installed at a fitting and mounting part 14 of the holder part on the downstream side receiving the mounting and bonding end of the meter A so as to be supported, and that a fitting groove 51 to be fitted to a rib installed on the bottom part on the downstream side of a meter mainframe is installed on the surface of the block piece.
