摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate manufacture of a WC hard metal having a high melting point and high hardness, shorten manufacturing time, and reduce manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method comprises mixing a W powder with a C powder in a proportion of 1:1, burying a Compact manufactured by means of compacting the mixed raw powder, in a powder mixture which autosynthesizes through propagating pyrogenesis, then igniting the powder mixture by strongly heating its one part, causing the autosynthesis through the propagating pyrogenesis, inducing a reaction shown in W+C→WC by an emitted heat of formation in the pyrogenesis, and causing the autosynthesis through the propagating pyrogenesis for the reaction as well, to make the whole compact into the sintered compact of WC.
