PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the number of components without causing deterioration of image quality by establishing a control procedure for performing image recording through direct use of external image data being inputted sequentially without using a large scale recording medium for storing at least one page of image data. SOLUTION: Since the transfer timing of image data is linked with the image processing operation through communication of a stop signal and a restart signal, image processing control of an image processing board 124 is performed only when line image data of specified number of lines is arranged on image and rearrange boards 112 synchronized each other. When the line image data is deficient, the operation is controlled to stop temporarily and image processing can be carried out without lowering the image quality even if each page is not punctuated.
