<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system that can efficiently measure size in a desired portion of an object. <P>SOLUTION: The object is placed on a rotary table 10, and the object is photographed omnidirectionally with a camera 12. Provided two-dimensional image data are supplied to a computer 14. The computer calculates a three- dimensional position of the object corresponding to the size-measuring portion when the size-measuring portion is assigned out of the two-dimensional image. Only a three-dimensional shape data of the object in the vicinity of the obtained three-dimensional position are prepared, and a circumferential length of the obtained three-dimensional shape data are calculated to calculate the size in the size-measuring portion. Quick size-measuring processing is made possible because not preparing a three-dimensional shape data of the whole object but preparing the only the three-dimensional shape data of the object in the vicinity of the size-measuring portion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
