PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle weight measuring method which is adaptable to a bridge in various shapes and whose measurement accuracy is enhanced, to provide a axle load measuring system, and to provide an overloaded vehicle warning system. SOLUTION: As the method of measuring the weight of a vehicle running on a floor board 1 of a bridge, rodlike auxiliary beams 51 are attached to the back within regions surrounded by main beams 2 and transverse beams 3 on the floor board 1 supported by the main beams 2 coupled by the transverse beams 3; strain gages 11, 12, 13 are attached to the rear surfaces of the auxiliary beams 51; a deformation of the floor board 1 is detected as a strain by the strain gages 11, 12, 13; the axle load of the vehicle running on the floor board 1 is measured; and the weight of the vehicle is measured on the basis of its measured value.
