PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically perform demonstration only by connecting electronic equipment to a dedicated demonstration cradle. SOLUTION: In a digital camera 100 mounted with a function for connecting the camera 100 to the cradle 200 and performing mode setting for performing demonstration, a charger detecting part 112 is provided with a function for detecting whether the digital camera main body is connected to the cradle 200. An output signal is sent to a system control part 111 through the circuit of the digital camera when the digital camera main body is detected to have been connected. Meanwhile, the key detecting part 113 of the digital camera 100 side detects a key 202 for detection provided to the dedicated cradle 200 for demonstration, and the system control part 111 sets the demonstration mode when the dedicated cradle 200 for demonstration is detected.
