PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel structural implement for spreading a sheet press band to make it possible to especially realize an easy and normal spread condition of a sheet press band (mica line in a popular name) and a method for spreading the sheet press band having a novel constitution by the spreading implement, relative to a spreading technique of a vinyl sheet of a gate type house. SOLUTION: A guide hole 21a for inserting a sheet press band 6 penetrating in the substantially central span of the forward and rearward side faces, of a slidable lump 2 whose respective parts are finished in smooth surfaces, has a little larger flat section than the flat section of the sheet press band 6 and is regulatively bored so that the thickness direction of the flat sectional face coincides with the thickness of the slidable lump 2, and a Y-shaped end 51 of the guide string 5 is attached in the right and left symmetrical positions to the reference of the guide hole 21a opened at the forward and rearward respective side faces.
