The invention relates to preparations of plant materials and/or animal materials having a higher than natural thiocyanate content, said preparations being used in food, medicaments, and/or body care products and feedstuff. The thiocyanate is supplied at least in part in the form of biopolymer/bio-oligomer conjugates, a) thiocyanate being added to the raw material or a precursor thereof, and/or b) the thiocyanate content being increased by selecting and growing precursors. The invention also relates to a method for producing plant-based and/or animal-based food, medicaments, and/or body care products and feedstuff which contain such preparations. Said preparations can be utilized in food and/or body care products and feedstuff and/or for producing medicaments used as immunostimulants in human beings and domestic cattle and/or for promoting wound healing. |
