The inventive device is characterised in that it comprises, in one single unit (E) through which the three motor (M) supply phases pass completely, all of the components required to measure the active power and/or the active currents absorbed by the motor. Said device also comprises digital means for detecting tool wear and/or breakage in comparison to a reference curve which is established during a first machining operation performed by the tool.
