<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a karaoke (recorded instrumental accompaniment) device which automatically plays various music and which enables a user to select a piece of music in association with the music being played. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of karaoke tunes are classified into a plurality of groups based on a category (such as date) and listed by each group. Music in a user's favorite group are automatically and successively played.
