<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for monitoring color-tones of prints, which, in color-tone correction, imposes only a small operational burden and involves no problems with installation and operation regardless of items to be printed. <P>SOLUTION: The device for monitoring color-tones of prints, comprises: an imaging means which creates a reference image by imaging a print as a standard for calculating the color-tone variation amount, and creates a comparative image by imaging a print to be compared in terms of color value; a correction standard extracting means which extracts a correction standard in the reference image and the comparative image; and a color-tone correcting means which corrects the color-tones of the reference image and the comparative image based on the correction standard to create a corrected standard image and comparative image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
