摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear ratio control device for a hybrid vehicle enabling the vehicle to start with a good driving feel while avoiding excessive rotation of its engine upon start to prevent poor fuel consumption. <P>SOLUTION: The hybrid vehicle includes an internal combustion engine 2; an automatic transmission 11 which changes the output of the engine 2 and transmits it to driving wheels 14; a motor M/G3 connected to the final transmission 12 located closer to the driving wheels 14 than to the automatic transmission 11; a driving system ECU (motor output ability detecting means) 8 for detecting a parameter value SOC correlated with an output which the motor M/G 3 can generate; and a driving system ECU (control means) 8 which makes the starting gear ratio of the transmission 11 higher, if the parameter value SOC detected from the motor output ability detecting means indicates an output greater than predetermined values SOC1 and 2, than if the parameter value indicates a smaller output. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
