摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capillary array electrophoretic device irradiating a plurality of capillaries by a laser at the same time and carrying out on-column fluorometry. <P>SOLUTION: The plurality of capillaries 1 are arranged on a plane of glass 5, and the laser 2 is irradiated from a side of the array along an array axis. By relationships among an outside radius and inside radius of the capillary, a refractive index of a medium 11 of a capillary outer part, a refractive index of a material 1 of the capillary and a refractive index of a medium 10 of a capillary interior, the capillary has a convex lens effect. A laser beam is repeatedly focused and it travels through the capillary array without deviating from the array axis of the capillaries. Sufficient laser power reaches each capillary interior, concurrent fluorometry is made possible, and high sensitiveness, high speed and high throughput can be realized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
