<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a booster which eliminates any source for generating the assist force to be driven by an independent drive system, gives the assist force by giving the force to operate an input member, and reduces the size and a manufacturing cost of the booster. <P>SOLUTION: The booster comprises one permanent magnet 40 provided on an input rod 20, and the other permanent magnet 51 to form a repulsive magnetic field between the permanent magnet 40 and itself. The force amplified by a passage different from an output giving passage by an output giving means 30 is given to an output rod 60 and boosted. Different from any conventional booster, any negative pressure source or hydraulic source to be operated by the separate driving force from the force to drive an input member can be omitted, and the assist force is boosted by giving the force to operate the input member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
