<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method for four-wheel drive vehicles, enabling a reverse travel without shock in engagement in traveling on a lowμroad. <P>SOLUTION: In a four-wheel drive vehicle capable of switching two-wheel driving and four-wheel driving by a rotation transmission device 10 with a two-way clutch 11 and an electronic coil 12 for controlling the engagement of the two-way clutch 11, the advancing direction of the vehicle is detected by rotation sensors S<SB>1</SB>to S<SB>4</SB>for detecting the rotation direction of the front and rear wheels 4 and 6, and if the advancing direction of the vehicle is different from that in a range, the two-way clutch 11 is made to engage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
