<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulse radar distance measuring instrument and its method enabling accurate distance measurement even if a generation source of strong electromagnetic noises exist on the periphery of a movable body. <P>SOLUTION: This distance measuring instrument repetitively measures the distance to a physical object at prescribed time intervals, and comprises a means 26 for fixing the number of times of measurement/evaluation based on the velocity of the movable body, and a means 28 for selecting the minimum distance from the measurement results of the number of times of measurement to determine it as a distance from the movable body to the object. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
