PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder which facilitates the manufacture and management of side frames and facilitates managing parts and the like on an assembly line. SOLUTION: In the recorder for recording images to sheets with the use of a recording head loaded on a carriage, a pair of side frames 16 where a carriage shaft for supporting the carriage is hung over are constituted to have base parts 51 common to the pair of side frames formed in a common shape, and deformed parts 53 having different shapes between the side frames formed of a material different from that of the base part 51.
