PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner having functions of early automatically detecting missing of a refrigerant of a refrigerant circuit and immediately stopping its operation. SOLUTION: In the air conditioner comprising a compressor 2, a four-way valve 3, an outdoor heat exchanger 5, a throttling unit 6, and an indoor heat exchanger 11 to be sequentially connected by piping of a refrigerant piping to constitute a refrigerant circuit, an indoor temperature sensor 10a provided in an indoor unit 10, an indoor heat exchanging temperature sensor 11a provided at a center of the exchanger 11, and an outdoor fan provided in an outdoor unit 1; when a difference between a detecting temperature of the sensor 10a and a detecting temperature of the sensor 11a becomes lower than a first set value, the fan is stopped, a difference between the detecting temperature of the sensor 11a immediately after the stop of the fan and the detecting temperature after stopped for a predetermined time becomes lower than a second set value, missing of the refrigerant is judged, informed by an informing means provided in the indoor unit and the operation is stopped. |
