A cell composition comprising skin ectodermal stem cells having been substantially isolated; a method of evaluating a reagent for specific cell differentiation characterized by comprising bringing the cell composition into contact with a test substance and then examining the occurrence/absence of specific differentiation of the cell composition into cells, wherein the test substance is an indication of being a reagent for specific cell differentiation in the case where the cell composition differentiates into cells; and differentiated cells or a differentiated tissue obtained via differentiation from the cell composition.
