摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve image deterioration due to the writing deficiency of a pixel whose anode is inverted by writing and holding a pixel group arrayed on the same scanning line under the same conditions, and writing and holding pixel groups arranged on adjacent scanning lines so that the conditions of at least one of them are different. SOLUTION: The device which has a resolution of 36 pixels in a range of a diopter of 1 deg. has a spatial frequency of 6 [cpd] for black stripes. When lines are doubled, the frequency increases to 12 [cpd], so it becomes harder to view up to about 8%. For this reason, an image signal is so converted as shown in Fig. (a) to generate a line. Consequently, stripes are increased as shown in Fig. (b) to make it harder to view. Here, the black stripes of lines L2 and L8 and artificial lines which are generated are provided at equal intervals by lowering the luminance level of a line L5. In this case, the luminance variation quantity of the line L5 may be found as mean luminance and can be determined so that the mean luminance of an ordinary image decreases.
