PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine-driven heat pump apparatus preventing the degradation of oil for lubricating an engine by arranging a lubricating oil tank in a low temperature part inside an outdoor unit. SOLUTION: An engine chamber 7 for accommodating the engine 5 at the lower part of the outdoor unit, and an outdoor heat exchanger chamber 14 having an outdoor heat exchanging blower fan 44 at the upper part of the outdoor unit, are partitioned by a partition wall 39. A lubricating oil tank 24a for the engine is arranged inside the outdoor heat exchanger chamber, and an oil filling port of the lubricating oil tank is positioned on the front side in the outdoor heat exchanger chamber. An oil pipe 390 from the lubricating oil tank to the engine is arranged passing through the partition wall. An exhaust pipe 23a of the engine and the oil pipe are arranged apart from each other inside the engine chamber, and the exhaust pipe of the engine and the lubricating oil tank are arranged apart from each other inside the outdoor heat exchanger chamber. The height of the oil level in the lubricating oil tank is always in a higher position than the height of the oil level on the engine side. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
