PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging machine having a meter, a bucket and a chute which solves or substantially improves the problem of the increased traveling time caused by the angular velocity and the problem of damages by a product by suppressing the angular velocity of a product passing through the chute. SOLUTION: A meter bucket 11 for a meter bucket 11 for a meter of the packaging machine to feed products to the chutes 12 and 13 having the vertical axis 24 includes a pair of separate side walls 21 with a bottom wall 21 extended therebetween, and products passing thereabove. The bottom wall has at least one trough 23, 27 and 28 to control the locus of the products leaving the bucket so as to minimize the angular velocity of the products around the vertical axis of the chute.
