A device acting on the soft top (12), a roll bar moving device (14) and a safety drive transmitting device (16) supported by a spring (20), are accommodated in rails (10) laterally positioned along the opening in the car body. The central part (14) can be moved separately or by being either pushed by a hook-shaped extension (26) located at the end of safety drive transmitting device (16) or a second extension (24) positioned at the end of the device acting on the soft top (12). The roll bar can be slightly lifted in order to move the soft top.
