PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving walk free to smooth movement of a passenger especially between a moving body on the descending side and a gateway floor and a floor surface and effective in improving general safety and thinning a machine. SOLUTION: The moving walk 1 furnished with the moving body 6 endlessly connected to it and to carry the passenger by roughly horizontally moving from the one gateway floor 2 and a machine room 3 to the other gateway floor 4 and a machine room 5, a handrail 7 to synchronously move with this moving body 6, structures such as a balustrade 8, etc., to guide movement of the handrail 7 and a main body frame 9 to hold strength of the structures is constituted by setting a height position of a roughly horizontal main moving surface P of the moving body 6 at roughly the same or slightly higher position of a top surface of upper surfaces of the gateway floors 2, 4, providing an inclined surface Q on which the side of the gateway floors 2, 4 becomes lower than the main moving surface P on a part where the moving body 6 goes in and out of the gateway floors 2, 4 and providing inclined floor surfaces 2B, 4B connected to the inclined surface Q and the opposite moving body side of which is lowered on the gateway floors 2, 4.
