The invention relates to a magnifying-glass lamp (1) comprising a magnifying glass (3) mounted in a retaining device (2) that is, for example, annular. The aim of the invention is to prevent the sunlight that falls on the magnifying glass (3) from being focussed and generating high temperatures at the focal point of said magnifying glass, thus preventing a potential source of fire. To achieve this, a cover device, e.g. a flap (4) that is fixed by means of a hinge (6) is fixed to the upper side of the retaining device (2). When the flap (4) is closed, the magnifying glass (3) is covered, preventing the focussing of more light at the focal point of the magnifying glass (3). In addition, the magnifying glass (3) is protected from dirt and dust when said flap (4) is closed. |
