A printer comprising an antenna for radio communication with a device provided to an ink container and a loading section where a storage medium is loaded removably. The antenna is a planar type and can communicate by radio with the storage medium loaded in the loading section. In the loading section, the storage medium is loaded parallel to the antenna. One side of the antenna faces to the device, and the other side faces to the loaded storage medium.
