<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector preventing or reducing elastic deformation of a retainer by an external force. <P>SOLUTION: This connector is provided with a connector body 11 and the retainer 30 provided in the connector body 11. The connector body 11 is so formed that a shaft body 3 can be axially inserted. The retainer 30 is so formed as to prevent the pull-out of the shaft body 3 by an engagement using radial elastic deformation to the shaft body 3 inserted in the connector body 11. The retainer 30 is provided with, at least, a free end part 30a which can be elastically deformed radially outward.
