<p>An electric power steering device control apparatus having a function to detect a failure of a motor current detection circuit during steering and capable of performing an alternative control upon detection of the failure. In order to achieve this object, the electric power steering device control apparatus controls the motor, so that a steering auxiliary force is given to a steering mechanism according to a current instruction value calculated from a motor current detection value and a steering auxiliary instruction value calculated according to the steering torque generated in a steering shaft. The current flowing to the motor is detected by a single current detection resistor. A signal detected is input in parallel to a plurality of motor current detection circuits. By comparing outputs from the plurality of motor current detection circuits, it is judged whether the motor current detection circuit has failed.</p> |
