It is intended to provide polypeptides selected from the following (A), (B) and (C) and having a function or an activity as an eicosanoid receptor: (A) a polypeptide comprising an amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:2 or 21; (B) a polypeptide comprising an amino acid sequence derived from an amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:2 or 21 by deletion, substitution or addition of one or more amino acids; and (C) a polypeptide encoded by a nucleic acid which is hybridizable with a nucleic acid comprising a base sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:1 or 20 under stringent conditions or its complementary; nucleic acids encoding these polypeptides; recombinant vectors and host cells containing the same; a method of detecting a function or an activity of such a polypeptide using the same; and a method of screening or identifying a ligand, an agonist or an antagonist to such a polypeptide using the same.
