PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an engine from being over-heated without lowering an output to a drive shaft.
SOLUTION: The engine 13 generates a mechanical power by the combustion of fuel, and a part of the mechanical power generated by the engine is transmitted to the drive shaft 14. Motors 11 and 12 store the remaining part of the mechanical power to an electric power, the power is stored in a battery 16, and the drive shaft is driven by the power stored in the battery. A controller 41 controls the engine and the motors based on a detected output from a load sensor 37 for detecting a load on the drive shaft. A heat absorbed by the coolant of the engine is dissipated by a radiator 19, and a fan 21 generating wind passing through the radiator is driven by the engine. Irrespective of the detected output of the load sensor, the controller controls the rotational speed of the fan through the engine based on the detected output of a temperature sensor 38 detecting the temperature of the coolant.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
