<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep temperature of the whole loop type heat pipe system low by preventing a liquid coolant returned to a liquid reservoir part in a wick from a condenser, from being diverged from the outer periphery of the wick and heated with steam flowing inside an evaporator body. <P>SOLUTION: This loop type heat pipe evaporator is provided with: an evaporator body 1; a wick 2 built in the evaporator body 1 to form a liquid reservoir part 3; a steam passage 4 formed between the wick 2 and the internal wall surface of the evaporator body 1; a steam pipe 5 for connecting the steam passage 4 to a condenser; and a liquid pipe 6 piercing the wall part of the evaporator body 1 to communicate with the liquid reservoir part 3 and to return the liquid coolant condensed by the condenser, to the liquid reservoir part 3. A steam contact part, positioned at least at the steam passage 4, of the liquid pipe 6 is formed in heat insulating structure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
