<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make efficiently performable a toning of coloring agents such as coating materials in a short time. <P>SOLUTION: In toning support, data on the characteristics of a plurality of the coloring agents, a data base on a plurality of reference colors and the compounding ratios of the coloring agents on each reference color, and data for displaying first, second, and third screens are stored. The first screen for specifying one reference color from among the plurality of reference colors is provided via a network to receive the input of the specification of the reference color. A plurality of color candidates of which the color components are made different from the specified reference color by a given difference are achieved. A second screen for indicating the specified reference color and the color candidates is provided via the network to receive the specification of one color candidate. Then the compounding ratios of the coloring agents for implementing the color of the specified color candidate are determined on the basis of the data of the characteristics of the coloring agents, and the determined compounding ratios are provided via the network. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
