<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measurement method in which a concentration of a specific component can be measured with high precision even when a contact probe used to measure concentration is dirty with beverage or the like. <P>SOLUTION: A concentration measurement device comprising a light source, the contact probe used to measure concentration, and a photodetector. The method comprises a process in which the amount of the incident light from the light source to the contact probe contacting with a sample, and which irradiates and propagates into the sample and returned is measured by the photodetector, a process in which the amount of the incident light from the light source to the contact probe not contacting with the sample, and which irradiates and propagates into the sample and returned is measured by the photodetector, and a process in which a concentration of the specific component in the sample is calculated based on the results obtained by the processes described above. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
