PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic toner showing excellent electrification characteristics and a single dot reproducibility even under high temperature and high humidity conditions and to provide a method for forming an image of a magnetic toner. SOLUTION: In the magnetic toner comprising a binder resin and magnetic powder and in the method of forming an image of the magnetic toner, a magnetic powder containing Zn and Cu is used as the magnetic powder in the magnetic toner, and the content of Zn and Cu included in the magnetic powder is specified to≤100 ppm. More preferably, the magnetic powder further contains Ti and the content of Ti is specified to≤500 ppm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
