PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knitted or a woven fabric using thread rubber as an anti-slip raw yarn for preventing slipping down of hosiery, supporters or trousers or slippage of a mat, and the like. SOLUTION: The knitted or woven fabric comprises the thread rubber composed of a covered yarn. Furthermore, the covered yarn is prepared by loosely winding a covering yarn 209 around a rubber thread 207a, or the like, with slight extension or without extension thereof and the thread rubber is used for preventing the slippage. The knitted or woven fabric uses the thread rubber 201b which is composed of the covered yarn. The knitted or woven fabric is obtained by winding the covering yarn 209 around the rubber thread 207a with slight extension or without extension thereof, knitting or weaving the covered yarn, making the knitted or woven fabric meltable with hot water or an agent and uses the resultant thread rubber 207b for preventing the slippage. The knitted or woven fabric also uses a thread rubber 201a which is composed of a covered yarn. Furthermore, the covered yarn is obtained by winding the rubber thread around the surfaces of various kinds of core threads.
