PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial flower in which opening of petals of a fresh flower to which a prescribed aseptic treatment is applied can be increased and with which decorative effect can be imparted to persons viewing artificial flowers. SOLUTION: The artificial flower 10 is composed of a receptacle 11, a plurality of petals 12 supported on the upper side of the receptacle 11. The artificial flower 10 is formed based on the fresh flower to which the prescribed aseptic treatment called as preserve treatment is applied. These petals 12 are removed from the receptacle 11 and the removed petals are attached to the neighbor area of the receptacle 11 while turning these petals 12 toward directions increasing openings of petals to produce the artificial flower 10 in which openings of these petals 12 are increased.
