PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot plate 100 having an appearance and easiness in cleaning equivalent to a flat top hot plate while unused, while minimizing indoor air pollution, carrying out direct fire heating and maintaining high thermal efficiency and thermal output. SOLUTION: The hot plate is characterized by that it is provided with a top plate 1, a top plate opening 2 provided in the top plate 1 and a burner 3 burning fuel gas G, forming flame 10 below the top plate opening 2 and heating an object N to be heated, the burner 3 is provided at a distance below the top plate opening 2, an exhausting means 12 is provided for exhausting exhaust gas of a combustion part 11 formed between the top plate opening 2 and the burner 3 to the outside, and the top plate 1 is made of a ceramic material.
