PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape printer with which excellent print quality is obtained by a simple operation in multicolor printing or the like using an ink ribbon. SOLUTION: The tape printer 1 for printing on a print tape T by means of heat transfer while feeding the tape T in one direction includes a tape feed mechanism 57 for feeding the tape T along a feed passage 50, a plurality of printing mechanisms A and B provided along the passage 50 for printing on the tape T being fed, and a tape cutting mechanism 52 provided between the first printing mechanism A which is the first one from an upstream of the tape feeding direction and the second printing mechanism B which is the second one, for cutting the tape T.
