PURPOSE: Provided is a cosmetic formulation containing coumarins, which is useful in the treatment of peripheral vasculopathies, including the complications of acute venous stasis, or in the improvement of the cicatrization processes. CONSTITUTION: The formulation comprises, as active ingredient, (a) coumarins, particularly esculoside, esculetin, extracts containing them, and mixtures thereof, and (b) dimeric and oligomeric proanthocyanidins, wherein the ingredients(a) and (b) are combined with each other. The proanthocyanidins are selected from the group consisting of proanthocyanidin A2, procyanidolic oligomers extracted from Vitis vinifera and Camellia sinensis, and mixtures thereof. The formulation comprises pure phospholipids or mixtures thereof as excipients.
