<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to acquire the playing sound made by his/her desired musical instrument even though the user has no desired musical instrument. <P>SOLUTION: When a playing sound providing device 30 receives from a communication terminal 10 a musical sound file including the designation of musical sound pitch and sounding timing, the playing sound providing device 30 stores in a storage device 302 a playing sound file representing sounds emitted from a prescribed musical instrument when the musical instrument is automatically played on the basis of the musical sound file. Further, the playing sound providing device 30 transmits the playing sound file stored in the storage device 302 to the communication terminal 10.
