PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dry toner having a small particle size, high electric resistance, excellent powder fluidity and transfer property, excellent heat- resistant storage property, low temperature fixing property and hot offset resistance, and a long life. SOLUTION: The dry toner is obtained by dissolving or dispersing a toner composition in an organic solvent and further dispersing in an aqueous medium. The dry toner contains at least modified polyester (i) and unmodified polyester (ii) having 15 to 40 mgKOH/g acid value as the toner binder component and contains carbon black having pH 9 to 13. The volume average particle size (Dv) of the toner ranges from 3 to 7μm and the ratio (Dv/Dp) to the number average particle size (Dp) ranges from 1.05 to 1.25. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
