PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner which eliminates the bite of molding sand even when the molding sand bites into a valve element of a three-way valve. SOLUTION: This air conditioner wherein a compressor 16 equipped at an outdoor unit is driven by an engine 30, is provided with an engine cooling system for cooling the engine by circulating engine cooling water to a radiator through the motor-operated three-way valve by a cooling water circulating pump; a detecting means 50 for detecting the temperature of the cooling water; and a control means 13 for controlling the opening of the motor-operated three- way valve 45 when the detected temperature is outside a prescribed temperature range.
