PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gusset bag with a zipper which is easily produced and in which all four packaging materials are joined with palm joining heat seal ribs and right and left side surfaces are two-folded inwardly and placed between front and rear surfaces, and in which a zipper is mounted on the opening of the bag and the upper end of a side gusset is positioned below the male type meshing part of the zipper and female type meshing part thereof and sealability and heat seal strength of the upper end of the side gusset are sufficiently secured, and also to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: Inner heat-sealable surfaces are brought outerside and two-folded and the upper ends of folding lines are recessed inwardly to form two triangle-ear parts. Two side gussets formed by welding the whole overlapped surfaces so as to prevent the two triangle-ear parts from being opened are sandwiched between the front and rear surfaces. The front surfaces and the side edges of the side gussets and the rear surface and the side edges of the side gussets are made into heat-seal ribs, and a zipper is arranged above the side gussets and sandwiched by the front and rear surfaces, the male and female webs of the zipper are welded to the inner surfaces of the front surface and the rear surface thereof, and the front and rear surfaces and the upper end edges of the side gusset are made into heat-seal ribs.
